GRANDMA ETHEL'S PIE DOUGH
"So good you don't need a filling!"

1 1/2 cups unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tblsp. butter softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. orange peel
1 tblsp. whiskey or orange juice...I prefer whiskey for real
Sift flour with baking powder and salt set aside.
In med bowl with electric mixer, beat butter with sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla, orange peel and whiskey.
Add 1/2 of flour mixture with wooden spoon. Beat until well blended. Add remaining flour mixture with hands until dough holds together.
Turn onto board and knead several times. Cover with wax paper, set aside in fridge.
Make pie filling.
Divide crust in half roll between wax paper 11" circle. Brush with egg white, pour in filling. Roll out other half lay on top, slit for air and brush with egg yolk mixed with 1 tblsp. water.
When baking, place strip of tin foil around edges of crust....and enjoy!
